Much like a shuttle service, PTI receives around-the-clock requests from our railroad customers to pick up and drop off train crews. PTI dispatchers match up drivers with these trips and the drivers safely transport the crews to their destinations.\nJob Summary:\nAs a PTI Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting railroad crew members wherever the railroad requests. Trip length and times vary depending on railroad customer needs. Safety is always our #1 priority and should be the main focus for our Van Drivers. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.\nResponsibilities:\n\u2022 Promoting and practicing safety awareness\n\u2022 Prioritize on time performance to meet customer needs\n\u2022 Pick up and drop off our customers safely to their destinations\n\u2022 Provide excellent customer service\n\u2022 Communicate timely with our Dispatch Center\n\u2022 Open and close all doors/hatches for the crew members\n\u2022 Report any defects, mechanical problems, or missing items found during vehicle inspection to your supervisor\n\u2022 Promote and follow all company policies and procedures\n\u2022 All other duties as assigned by your supervisor\nThis does not necessarily list all responsibilities, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the job.
